We meet at the agreed time on Zoom. I have set up my studio so that you see my hands and feet from several camera angles and the sound comes across really well. Everything we work out I write live on the iPad, you see it right on your screen, and afterwards it is in your personal PDF.
At the end of the lesson I can record a short clip for you, so you continue at home exactly where we stopped.
What you need
All you need is a camera, a microphone and your instrument. I am happy to help you put together a fitting setup, I have put together an affordable setup for students that works really well. Just ask me before you buy anything.
The same quality as in person
Online too, every lesson is built around you, your pace and your goals. You play along to real music from the start, with the songs you have always wanted to play, and I show you tricky grooves piece by piece and slowly until they sit. The prices are the same as in the studio.
Who online lessons suit
Anyone who lives further away, has little time for travelling or prefers to practise on their own instrument. And anyone who had lessons in Cologne and has since moved. If you are unsure whether online or in person suits you better, write to me briefly and we will find out together.
„Ich hatte Online-Kurse beim lieben Johannes. Wir haben viel zu Songs gespielt. Auf Online-Kurse ist Er gut vorbereitet.“Rio Thiele, Google review (German original: online lessons, lots of playing along to songs, "well prepared for online courses")
„Man hat seinen eigenen Bildschirm, auf dem einem wahlweise Noten, eine Kameraansicht von Johannes' Set oder andere Notizen angezeigt werden.“Torsten Kolb, Google review (German original: you get your own screen showing notation, a camera view of the kit or other notes)
