My studio is at Wormser Straße 45, in the courtyard between Chlodwigplatz and Bonner Straße. If you live in the Südstadt, Bayenthal, Zollstock, Sülz or the Altstadt and Neustadt, you are with me in a few minutes, often even on foot or by bike.
I have been teaching for many years, and my main job is playing drums on tour and in the studio myself. I bring that experience into every lesson, so you do not just learn patterns but play the way people really play on stage.
What to expect in the studio
We play on two miked drum kits with headphones, which protects your ears and sounds great. A small PA lets you feel the music and the bass drum, so every lesson feels a bit like a live show.
Everything we work out I write live on the iPad, and you follow it on the monitor. Afterwards it ends up in your personal PDF, which you can open from home at any time. If you like, I record a short clip with good picture and sound at the end, so you can continue practising exactly where we stopped.
Who the lessons are for
For anyone who wants to learn the drums, from the very first stroke to preparing for a conservatoire audition. My focus is on rock, pop, R&B, hip-hop and Afro, but I teach the fundamentals just as well in any other style. Every lesson is built around you, your pace and your goals.
How to get to me
By public transport the best stops are Chlodwigplatz and Bonner Straße, from there it is only a few minutes on foot. If you come by car, there are only a few parking spaces in our courtyard. Please never park on the right-hand side of the courtyard, only on the left under the stairs, so that all cars can drive through. You will get the exact directions with the confirmation of your trial lesson.
What it costs
The trial lesson lasts 45 minutes and costs a one-off €30, paid in cash on site. Afterwards you decide in peace between a fixed slot on a subscription (from €99 a month) and flexible lesson packs (2, 3 or 5 lessons). You will find all prices on the home page.

Where exactly is the studio?
The studio is at Wormser Straße 45, 50677 Cologne, in the courtyard. From the Chlodwigplatz or Bonner Straße stop it is only a few minutes on foot.
Can I park nearby?
There are only a few parking spaces in the courtyard. It is best to come by public transport or by bike. If you come by car, you will get a precise description of where to park with your booking confirmation.
How does the trial lesson work?
In 45 minutes we get to know each other. You tell me where you are and what you would like to play, and we try out right at the kit what you enjoy. The trial lesson costs €30 and is paid in cash on site.
